Close Up

I spent three hours of Thursday's beautiful and sunny afternoon walking around downtown Edmonton, namely within the northeast quadrant.

My quest: graffiti.
Yelled at: Once.
Asked if I was from out of town: Five times
Mission: successful.

I thought these two pieces of graffiti were interesting because they told two different stories of art work: that of the
modern day form and that of a more ancestral, historic form. Humans have been creating wall art forever, so I
thought the depiction of this contrast between the times was creative.

This is the LRT tunnel leading out of Churchill Station which has been taken over by graffiti mural artists.
